International Stage

Discover bluegrass without borders at the International Stage, where artists from around the world bring their unique sounds, stories, and styles to the heart of IBMA World of Bluegrass.
This curated showcase features a dynamic lineup of international artists and globally connected performers, giving attendees a rare chance to experience how bluegrass is interpreted and celebrated across cultures.
When You Can Attend
- Conference attendees can enjoy International Stage performances Wednesday and Thursday
- Public festival performances take place Friday and Saturday
Artist Applications
2026 Application Period: April 27 – May 24
Located inside the Chattanooga Convention Center, the International Stage features a curated lineup of artists showcasing bluegrass music from around the world. A limited number of performance slots are available, and we welcome applications from:
- Foreign nationals living outside the United States
- Foreign nationals living and working in the United States
- U.S. nationals with strong international connections (such as work with the State Department as cultural ambassadors, participation in multiple international tours, etc.)
Visa Guidelines:
- Artists holding P or O visas are eligible to perform Wednesday through Saturday.
- Artists without a visa may perform during the conference attendee days (Wednesday and Thursday), but not during the public event days (Friday and Saturday)
Please Note:
The International Stage is an unpaid, add-on performance opportunity for artists who are already planning to attend the IBMA Business Conference. Conference registration is now open, and proof of registration is required to confirm a performance slot.
Artists who are unable to travel with a full band are welcome to perform in any configuration, including solo, duo, or other arrangements.
